After a successful first semester of college, the President of the College of Human Sciences Student Council reached out to me about applying to be a part of the council; to which I immediately applied. I had been a part of a student council from 3rd grade until I graduated high school. Because of that, I was so excited to be a part of a student council again. I went to my first meeting and we had a leadership seminar and discussion with the leaders of the Iowa State Football Team. I learned some very valuable tips and tricks to get you ‘team’ motivated. Unfortunately due to the coronavirus, our semester was cut short and we were not able to get our specific committees within the council, but I look forward to applying for the following semester.
