Alpha Delta Pi Sorority

Chapter President
Nov. of Fall 2020- Fall 2021
I was elected to be the President of my chapter. This role is the highest position that can be held in this organization. It requires you to be organized, strong, confident, calm, driven, and passionate. In this role, I oversee and actively communicate with 160 members of the chapter, 40 officers, and a board of advisors. With every decision I make as president, I have to consider the effect it will have, not only on the current members, but also the alumni and the future of the chapter.

Yell like Hell Co-Chair
Nominated for Fall 2020
Yell like Hell is a homecoming event famous at Iowa State that only happens in the fall. It is a mixture of a play and constant cheering. I was a participant my first semester of college and absolutely loved it! So, when it came to election time, I received a message from my president that someone had nominated me to be a co-chair and I accepted! When it came time to vote, I received the position of Yell like Hell Co-Chair where I will help my other co-chairs come up with the dances and chants, get them all approved, get people to sign up to participate, teach over 50 members everything, coordinate practice and performance times, and take our team to victory in the fall! I can not wait for this amazing opportunity.

Philanthropy Committee Member
Fall 2019
Through Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, I have so many amazing ways to get involved. My first semester of college I decided to join the Philanthropy Committee for Alpha Delta Pi. All sororities and fraternities have an organization they support and fundraise to give back. My sorority's organization is The Ronald McDonald House Charities. So, on the philanthropy committee, we set up events and fundraisers to raise money, collect pop tabs, and raise awareness to organizations in need. On this committee, I was able to get hands on with planning two events to help Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Yell like Hell Participant
Fall 2019
My first semester at Iowa State I had the chance to participate in one of the best traditions for homecoming at Iowa State: Yell like Hell! As a participant, I really had to learn time management. Practices were every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 8-10pm. With taking 18 credits for my first semester of college and giving up 6 hours a week of prime homework time, I had to learn time management. Yell like Hell was a fun and social way to help me learn such an important life skill.

Lip Sync Participant
Spring 2020
Lip Sync at Iowa State is similar to Yell like Hell except it happens in the spring for greek week. However, I still had the same hours of Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 8-10pm. My second semester of college, I had taken on other big and exciting leadership roles. So, time management was somehow even more crucial for me. However, even though I may have struggled, I was able to learn and overcome so much. I have never felt myself grow so much in such a short amount of time. It was amazing to see myself work as hard as I did and still love every second of it.
